CAN MY CAT GET HIGH FROM CBD FOR CATS?

CBD Dog Health’s products, including our CBD for cats tinctures and transdermal CBD for cats, will not make your cat high. The hemp plant, which contains less than 0.3 percent THC, is used to make our full spectrum hemp for cats. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive component of the cannabis plant that can cause a person or animal to feel “high.” Cannabinoids in our CBD for cats, such as cannabidiol (CBD), have no psychoactive effects and cannot make your pet “high.”

IS CBD SAFE FOR CATS?

Hemp extract, such as in our hemp for cats, is extremely safe, even at high levels. Rarely, loose stools and/or some lethargy may occur. Any bodily injury is highly unlikely as a result of hemp consumption.

HOW IS CBD DOG HEALTH DIFFERENT FROM OTHER BRANDS?

CBD Dog Health products are formulated specifically for pets by Angela Ardolino, a medical cannabis expert, under the advisement of chemists and veterinarians.

Our CBD for cats and pets is made with American, hemp grown organically without the use of pesticides rather than using industrialized hemp oil from other countries.

Additionally, CBD Dog Health products are full-spectrum CBD-rich hemp extracts – not isolate, distillate, or products labeled “pure CBD” or “No THC.” Full Spectrum means that no cannabinoids were removed during the extraction or manufacturing process. CAN MY CAT OVERDOSE ON CBD?

Your pet cannot overdose on full spectrum hemp extract, such as in our CBD products for cats. There have been numerous studies on the safety of CBD for cats and other animals, and full-spectrum hemp extract, which confirm its safety for use in animals. In our experience, the most common side effect from giving too much is that a pet may get diarrhea or may become temporarily lethargic.

HOW LONG DOES CBD TAKE TO WORK ON CATS?

Each pet and ailment are different, so the reaction times to CBD for cats and pets may vary.

For situational anxiety and pain, if dosing directly to the gums, you should see a change within 15-30 minutes. If you don’t see a change within a half hour, administer another dose.

For ailments with less immediately visible effects, CBD works with the endocannabinoid system to restore balance in the body, known as homeostasis. So while you may not be seeing immediate signs, CBD is working internally with your pet’s body, to promote homeostasis.

HOW LONG DOES A BOTTLE OF CBD FOR CATS LAST?

Each one ounce bottle of CBD for cats contains 30 standard 1mL doses. Each 2 ounce bottle of CBD for cats contains 60 standard 1mL doses.

The time your CBD oil for cats tincture or transdermal CBD for cats will last depends on several factors, including your cat’s ailment, your pet’s ideal CBD for cats dosage, the number of doses you’re giving per day, and which tincture you are using.
