The Problem with Kibble with The BK Pets

The BK Pets problem with kibble bad for dogs your natural dog podcast angela ardolino

As pet parents, we all want to provide our beloved companions with the nourishment they truly deserve. We used to believe we could go to the grocery store and buy food for our pets right off the shelf, and feel safe knowing we’re giving our pet something good for them, but unfortunately that’s not the case. In this episode of Your Natural Dog with Angela Ardolino, we’re joined by special guests Bryce and Kenzie Francois, hosts of The BK Petcast and founders of The BK Pets, a community for modern pet parents. Together, they dive deep into an important topic that affects every pet parent: the problem with kibble and highly processed commercial pet food. With a shared passion for enriching the lives of dogs and cats, Bryce, Kenzie, and Angela discuss why real food is the best food for our beloved pets. They explore the detrimental effects of processed diets, the benefits of switching to a real food diet, and practical tips for transitioning to a healthier, more natural approach to feeding our furry friends.

About Bryce & Kenzie Francois

The BK Pets Bryce and Kenzie Francois We’re Bryce & Kenzie Francois, a married couple from Wyoming with a love so deep for animals, we decided to dedicate our entire lives to helping them live as long as possible. We met during a social media internship with the University of Wyoming Athletics Department. After meeting, we instantly hit it off and became great friends and co-workers. We were always getting content together, creating videos together, and inevitably started dating in 2017.

Over the next few years, we acquired our three dogs; Harper, Cooper & Banksy. Harper and Cooper are Australian Shepherd siblings with the same parents but from different litters. Banksy is a rescue that came to us from the freezing temperatures and blackouts that Texas experienced back in 2021. He is a mixed breed but is DNA testing kit says he is mostly Husky, though you wouldn’t be able to tell that just by looking at them!

In 2021, we opened and closed a pet business, leaving us wondering what to do as being business owners was clearly not for us. We were already transitioning our own dogs to a fully raw diet, so we decided to start sharing that journey with the community we had built from our business, only about 200k people on Tik Tok at the time. As of writing this in December 2022, we have a community of over 1.5 million pet parents striving to improve the health of their dogs & cats. We couldn’t be more grateful for the support of our community and for you being here today! Let’s get started helping your dogs and cats live the longest, healthiest life they can.
