Angela Ardolino
Mother of Odie the mini-schnauzer, Nina the Doberman, Jolene the mix breed mutt, 23 ducks, 19 chickens, 9 geese, 1 bunny and a pig at her rescue farm, Fire Flake Farm.
To see Angela on her rescue farm, Fire Flake Farm, surrounded by dogs, chickens, geese, and her pet pig, is to see her in her element. Looking at this furry, joyful family, you would never suspect that Angela and her pets were once full of aches, pains, and anxiety.
Angela is the founder of Miami Children’s Theater and Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine. She has a background in broadcast journalism and appeared on television and radio shows, including nationally syndicated Daytime. Despite her healthy lifestyle and busy schedule, in 2013 Angela was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Determined to find alternatives to the toxic medications she was offered, she turned to CBD. Once she identified a pure source for CBD in California, her life changed forever. Angela spent the following years working diligently to educate people about medical cannabis and fighting for its legalization in Florida.
In 2016, Angela earned a professional certification in Medical Cannabis biology and the therapeutic uses from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. That year, she hosted Canna Conference to educate doctors, veterinarians and patients about the positive effects of medical cannabis and how cannabis reacts in the endocannabinoid system.
Angela spent two years searching for ethical, safe hemp farmers in Colorado and found trusted partners, including an essential oils expert who has produced plant-based products for over 30 years, and CBD expert and Broadway performer Hernando Umana. In June 2018, Angela launched CBD Dog Health and its line of full spectrum hemp extract CBD for dog products. The passage of the Farm Bill that same year legalized hemp-growing in all 50 states, ensuring that these products will be available to the people and animals who need them most.
In 2019, Angela partnered with Cannabis Radio to launch her pet-centric podcast, It’s a Dog’s Life. Airing every Monday, It’s a Dog’s Life features interviews with the nation’s top veterinarians and pet experts, including Dr. Bob Goldstein, Dr. Jean Hofve, and Dr. Dee Blanco.
Angela routinely travels the U.S. to speak at national pet events, including the Raw and Natural Dog Summit, The United States Cannabis Conference, the Pets + Summit, and Pet Connections. Using her expertise on both cannabis and pet care, Angela is dedicated to educating as many people as possible about the benefits of holistic pet care.
When Angela is not educating the public, you’ll find her at Fire Flake Farm. The farm not only provides a safe habitat for neglected and abused animals, but grows organic vegetables, microgreens and herbs. Additionally, Angela is the owner of Beautify The Beast, a natural grooming, pet boarding and retail shop.
Angela is active in the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, Women Grow and United for Care. She is an activist for making safe, natural, ethically grown hemp and medical cannabis available for people and animals. To learn more, visit www.angelaardolino.com.
