Chevy the French Bulldog

When Chevy was one-and-a-half-years old, she was diagnosed with hemivertebrae– a spine issue that is common in flat faced dogs like Boston Terriers, Frenchies, and bulldogs. She was given prescription pain medications to ease the symptoms caused by the hemivertebrae, but a few months later side effects to those pain pills began causing other serious issues. Within a few months of starting the medications, she was hunching in pain, and her back was out of alignment. Additionally, she was losing the ability to walk, as her toes would drag when she took a step.
